Homemade Flour Tortilla


These Homemade Flour Tortillas are much better the Tortillas from the supermarket! The recipe I will share with you today is a fat free variation!

Ingredients for 6-8 Tortillas:

200g flour
200ml boiling water
1 teaspoon of salt



Preparation time:

Prep: 5 min
Cook: 10 min
Total time: 15 min



Directions:

Boil the water in a cooking pot.

Whisk the flour with the salt in a mixing bowl. Pour the boiling water into the flour and begin to mix with a spoon for several minutes. When the dough cooled down a bit, knead with the hands, until smooth and elastic.

Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and roll out the dough on a well-floured surface. If you want to have a perfect round form as store bought, you can use the form of a round plate and cut you tortillas out with a knife.

Preheat an unoiled frying pan over medium high heat. Place the Tortilla (one by one) in the pan and cook until bubbly and golden. Flip over and continue cooking until golden on the other side.


Serve the Tortillas hot!
